MEET THE OWNER

BILL DAVIS, FOUNDER

My professional journey began in 1980 at St. Regis/Great Northern Paper Company, where I worked in sales and played a key role in growing the company’s business. During my time there, clients and colleagues encouraged me to start my own venture, which led to the launch of my first paper company in 1988. With strong relationships in the paper industry and financing from the prestigious Hindel Paper Company, I was able to hit the ground running.

In our first year, we surpassed $100 million in sales—and continued to grow each year. Initially headquartered at 30 Rockefeller Center in New York City, we later relocated our corporate office in 1990 to the entire fifth floor at 300 Atlantic Street in Stamford, Connecticut.

One of our most innovative moves was combining traditional printing paper sales with a new brokerage model. We partnered with experienced professionals, offering them 50% ownership of their operations while sharing the other 50% between myself and my business partner. This model proved highly successful, attracting talent and expanding our reach.

By the late 1990s, it became clear that the rise of computers and mobile technology was rapidly transforming the paper industry. In 2004, I exited the business after ensuring every member of my team transitioned into new opportunities. From there, I shifted my focus to agriculture and began building a new business from the ground up.

In 2015 and 2016, we applied for U.S. patents related to innovative agricultural products. After decades of entrepreneurship, I retired in December 2022—but not for long.

In January 2024, I launched Leap2 Solutions, headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida. We’re proud to hold multiple patents involving water-based adjuvants used in both the tree care and turf management industries. Our mission is to bring innovation, sustainability, and real-world solutions to the green industry.
